Our Programs and Initiatives
The Eden Project – A Sustainable Afforestation Initiative
The Eden Project is our flagship afforestation program aimed at combating deforestation and desertification in South Sudan. With an ambitious target of planting one million trees by 2030, we work with local communities to promote tree planting as a cultural and sustainable practice.
Key Goals:
- Mitigate climate change through carbon sequestration.
- Protect biodiversity and restore degraded ecosystems.
- Empower communities by creating jobs and enhancing livelihoods through afforestation activities.
Nursery Bed Management Project:
As part of the Eden Project, we manage nursery beds that train participants in seedling propagation and sustainable agricultural practices. This initiative creates employment opportunities, promotes sustainable land use, and strengthens local afforestation efforts.
Eco-nnovation Program
The Eco-nnovation Program is an innovative initiative addressing critical environmental issues such as:
- Plastic Pollution: Reducing single-use plastics and promoting recycling.
- Agriculture:Introducing sustainable farming practices.
- Food Waste:Advocating for better food management to reduce waste.
- Carbon Emissions:Encouraging practices that reduce carbon footprints.
Through research, technology, and local engagement, this program seeks to foster eco-friendly practices and empower communities to adopt sustainable habits.
